Today Phil painted the first coat onto the right quarter; finished the roof and we installed the trunk lid. Finished installing the clutch and flywheel.
Tomorrow will be the day for the first running of the motor, install transmission and reinstall the cage.

Great job on the car. I’m not even a NASCAR fan (but I love a good resto) and I check the site daily for updates. One question, where is the fuel filler? I noticed in the header picture of the car racing back in the day it looks like it’s on the left quarter panel, but in your newer pictures it doesn’t appear to be there. Just wondering.
Good eye (on the filler) — that quarter-panel had to be replaced. We are going to cut in the fuel filler in a few days 🙂
