I am pleased and honored to announce that I have purchased Roy Mayne’s 1965 Grand National Chevrolet Impala. It will be restored to racing condition with the greatest of care and respect deserving of such an historical piece of NASCAR racing history.

Congrats on the purchase. Your plans are exactly what I hoped someone would do with the car, I know I didn’t have the focus or skill to bring this piece of history back to life and was certainly hoping it wouldn’t wind up with a quick coat of paint in somebody’s car collection somewere. Thanks also for being willing to share the rebirth of it in an ongoing blog, I will be watching with interest in what you discover along the way.
